Booking, cancellation & rescheduling
Booking your date
- A 25% retainer holds your date. Until it arrives, the date is still open to other bookings.
- The remaining balance is due 14 days before the shoot.
- I take card, cash or check. A check counts as paid once it has fully cleared my bank, not when it's deposited.
If you cancel
| More than 30 days before the shoot | Full refund |
| Less than 30 days before | Retainer kept, the rest refunded |
If you need to reschedule
- One move is free if you tell me at least 14 days ahead and the new date is within 12 months. Your retainer carries over.
- If I'm already booked on the new date, it's treated as a cancellation under the table above.
- If you have to move with less than 14 days' notice, I'll do my best to make it work, but the cancellation table applies.
- If event hours run longer than booked, extra time is billed at $250 an hour.
If I have to cancel
If illness or an emergency keeps me from shooting, you get everything you've paid back, retainer included.
Film
Film is film: a few frames on every roll won't turn out, and that's part of the medium. But if a lab or camera fault ruins a whole roll, I refund that roll's share of the fee.
Printed editorial
You can cancel the magazine any time before it goes to the printer, for a full refund of the editorial fee. Once it has been sent to print, the printing cost can't be refunded.
